The Tree

The Tree

Written By: ShaneB

The trees sway side to side
As the whistling wind rushes by
The wind can be forgiving and abide
The wind can be hateful and spry

As the whistling wind rushes by
It whips and snaps the leaves about
The wind can be hateful and spry
As it strikes you with a shout

It whips and snaps the leaves about
The bitterly and brutal cold wind
As it strikes you with a shout
Only relieved by the summer sun on your skin

The bitterly and brutal cold wind
When you take a step outside
Only relieved by the summer sun on your skin
As the wind whirls around with a glide

When you take a step outside
You see the swaying sky scrapers
As the wind whirls around with a glide
And the winds cause flying papers

You see the swaying sky scrapers
As the winds nip at your face
And the winds cause flying papers
As you walk through at a steady pace

As the winds nip at your face
The wind can be forgiving and abide
As you walk through at a steady pace
The trees sway side to side
