We will conduct a short call by phone or Zoom with you to check if you are eligible to participate. This is who can participate:

• Indigenous women, Two-Spirit and gender diverse people interested to talk about contraception and abortion​

• Healthcare professionals who provide family planning services to Indigenous clients​

  Eligible participants must engage with services in BC, be 18 or older, and be comfortable conversing in English. ​

We will then email you a consent form. After receiving your signed consent form, we will schedule your 60-90 minute interview (in-person, by Zoom, or by phone). We will share a copy of the interview questions with you ahead of time.

We will send you honoraria thanking you for your participation ($100 and a gift of traditional medicines). The payment will be sent as an electronic gift card or e-transfer to your email. The gift will be mailed in an unmarked package to the address of your choice.

If you wish to stay involved in the study, you can review a written copy of your interview (transcript) or participate in future study-related research activities.
